Karen Dorante has over 20 years experience in the media and has worked in the community and national broadcasting sector. Karen is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the unit, providing progress and annual reports to the BIMA executive and sponsors, grant writing and community relations. Karen also presents Let's Talk on Fridays on 98.9FM.

A well-known Murri writer and poet, Samuel Wagan Watson brings a creative flare to our team with his original and engaging scriptwriting for our projects. Samuel also records, edits and produces radio messages to a high quality. He is also a regularcontributor to 98.9FM programs such as Let's Talk and Uncle Pete's Shout Out Show.

As the longest-serving member of the projects team, Steve Ellis has a deep understanding and knowledge of sound production. He plays a major role in editing, multi-tracking and mixing-down project segments. Steve is also a trainer and mentors many of the young male trainees that visit our training facility, Triple A Training.

Sara Spindler is experienced in event co-ordination and stage management. She also conducts research,interviewing and scriptwriting for a variety of projects. Sara's other responsibility is to upload the podcast of 98.9FM's Let's Talk program.

Nathan Talsma is largely responsible for the packaging and distribution of our project resources. He also conducts phone and face-to-face surveys and assists in the maintenance of the website. Nathan also contributes across all Brisbane Indigenous Media Association divisions.

Lizzie Orley is from the Kamilaroi people of northern New South Wales. She is a communications officer trainee. Her role includes involves researching, producing, interviewing, script writing for radio segments and articles. Her passions are music,arts and media/entertainment.
