The Young, Strong and Proud project aims to work with young people 18 remote Aboriginal communities in Queensland to develop a series of communications tools focusing on the issues of alcohol use, tobacco use, and inhalant use. These young people will receive formal training outcomes as part of their engagement in the project. Working with professional radio and communications trainers, the young people in each community will create a package of locally-created communications tools for their own community. These communications tools will be designed to be used locally, and will feature local artwork and photography.
This project is funded by the Queensland Government, Department of Communities.
